Perinatal Festival

The Jennifer Brown Research Group hosted the first Edinburgh Perinatal Festival in May this year. The aim of this meeting was to bring together Scientists, Obstetricians, Neonatologists and Nurses to discuss the important issues surrounding pregnancy and childbirth. The ultimate goal for those working within Perinatology (the branch of medicine that looks after pregnant mothers and newborn infants), and the main remit of the Jennifer Brown Laboratory, is to improve the outcomes associated with complications of pregnancy and premature birth.
